Apostle Larry G. Brown, Sr.

Presiding Prelate

Larry G. Brown, Sr. was raised in Chicago, IL, and attended Healing Temple Church of God In Christ (COGIC), where he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He is married to Prophetess Geneice (Fondren) Brown; they have two children, daughter Berkys and son Larry Jr. He received the call to the ministry while serving in Saudi Arabia during the 1990 Persian Gulf War and preached his first sermon on February 23, 1997, in Albany, GA and was licensed by Superintendent John F. Thomas, Sr.

He retired from the United States Marine Corps and moved to Woodbridge, VA in October 1997 and was ordained an Elder by the late Overseer Patricia A. Pringle, founder of Evangelistic Deliverance Ministries Inc., of Havre de Grace, MD in 1998. Pastor Brown began conducting services in his home in January 2000 and on Saturday, April 29, 2000. Overseer Pringle installed Elder Brown and Prophetess Geneice Brown as Pastor and First Lady of Spirit of Truth Deliverance Church (SOTDC).

In August 2007, Pastor and First Lady Brown returned to the COGIC under Superintendent Thomas's leadership, Albany District of the Western Georgia Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction. In July 2010, the Western Georgia Jurisdictional Prelate, the late Honorable Bishop Henderson Spivey, appointed Pastor Brown as Superintendent of the newly formed Apostolic Fire District headquartered in Northern Virginia. On December 6, 2014, the district (SOTDC and Perfected Praise Ministries COGIC) joined the Virginia Fourth Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction under Bishop G. Wesley Hardy's leadership, Sr.

In June 2017, after much prayer and introspection, Superintendent Brown disbanded the Apostolic Fire District to focus on the growth of SOTDC. In July 2017, SOTDC joined the Richmond South District under Superintendent Alfred L. Nicholson, Administrative Assistant to Bishop Hardy.

In August 2019, Pastor Brown was recognized and elevated to the Apostleship by Chief Apostle Jerry Taylor of the Apostolic Kingdom Network headquarter in Chicago, IL.

Today, Apostle  Brown serves as a teacher-preacher, community organizer, and crusader for Jesus Christ. He is committed to lead many souls to Christ as the founder and Senior Pastor of SOTDC, visionary for the Heart 4 The Community Initiative (established in April 2017), and the Presiding Prelate of the Apostolic Fire Fellowship (established in 2019).
